The BBC has launched mobile apps including an iPlayer option for the Blackberry. It will be available on the Storm 2 and the Bold 2 allowing users to stay up to date with their favourite shows using the new media player.

The app is designed to stream catch-up TV and radio and should be able to support live streaming as well. The iPlayer, however, will not download content for later viewing or sideload content from a pc. If you happen to be looking for those abilities, you’ll need to have a Nokia, Sony Ericsson, or Samsung handset.
For best results, use your Blackberry’s WiFi capability, as 3G will only be supported by 3 and Vodafone networks.
