HTC Desire ตอนได้กังวลนิดหนึ่งว่าไม่มีโปรแกรม GPS Navigator เพราะที่แถมมาให้เป็น Orange Maps เสียตังค์ค่าบริการรายเดือนเพิ่ม คิดแล้วช่วงนี้ไม่ได้ขับรถเท่าไรก็เลยไม่ซีเรียสตรงนี้มากนัก แต่มีไว้ก็ดีเพราะไปไหนมาไหนก็สะดวกนี้ ก็ลองโปรแกรม Google Maps แล้วเลือก Get Directions ก็มีให้เปิด Google Maps Navigation ดีใจนึกว่าใช้ได้แล้วแต่ก็ใช้ไม่ได้ คือก็ทราบอยู่แล้วว่านอกจากอเมริกา Google ยังไม่เปิดให้บริการที่ประเทศอื่น ก็มีบางคนแฮกเพื่อหลอกโปรแกรมให้สามารถใช้ได้ ถึงแม้จะไม่สมบูรณ์มากนัก อาทิ ชื่อถนนบนแทบเมนูบาร์ด้านบนจะไม่ขึ้น ได้เอามาลองๆ ใช้อยู่บ้างเหมือนกัน

เมื่อวานหาโปรแกรมเล่นอยู่ก็มี Noticed ให้อัพเกรดโปรแกรม Google Maps 4.1.1 Beta ก็ลองอัพดูว่ามีอะไรเปลี่ยนแปลงบ้าง ปรากฎว่าตั้งแต่วันนี้ Google Maps Navigation สามารถใช้ได้ที่อังกฤษแล้ว ตึง!

ค้นหาปกติจากโปรแกรม Google Maps จุดหมายปลายทางจะมี Option เส้นทางการเดินทาง กดลูกศรเพื่อเลือก Direction

เลือก Direction ถ้า Navigate จะเปิดโปรแกรม Google Map Navigation หรือ Get Direction จะมีแสดงรายละเอียดเส้นทางบน Google Maps

ในตำแหน่งเดียวกัน เลือกดูการแสดงผลได้หลากหลายมุมมอง

เมือถึงแยกเลี้ยวจะมีเสียงบอกตำแหน่งก่อนถึงเลี้ยว

เลือกปุ่มไอคอน Street View

เลือกดูมุมกล้องหลายๆ ด้าน

แท็บเมนู Menu Option สามารถแสดง Layer เพิ่ม POI เข้ามาได้อาทิ Traffice View, Satellite, Parking, Gas Station, ATMs & Banks, Restaurants

หากเป็นกลางคืนจะแสดงแผนที่เปลี่ยนสีเป็นเทา

สั่งค้นหาด้วยเสียงจากโปรแกรมค้นของ Google หรือกดปุ่ม Search ที่เมนูหน้ามือถือ แล้วพูดว่า “Navigate to [ชื่อจุดหมายปลายทาง]” หลังจากค้นหาแล้วถ้าไม่ตรง จะขึ้นแนะนำให้เลือกที่ใกล้เคียง
